Xlibris - Ignoring request for full refund
I began talking with a representative of Xlibris US in 2014. I eventually made payment for the cheapest package for my novel. Upgraded in February of 2015. In every conversation I had with Kevin, I was told I had total control of my novels content. The day after I signed the contract, which was a month before my last payment was due, I was e-mailed Submission Guidelines. I immediately stopped payment and asked for a refund. My book contained sexual content that wasn't allowed. My manuscript was never submitted, but I did e-mail the chapter I was concerned about. They flat out said to change it or won't be published. After many calls and e-mails, no one has told me how to get refunded. I am sending a demand letter to the only address available. I was honest with them; they weren't with me. None of my e-mails have been replied too since.
They did receive the package I sent with my notarized letter and all e-mails we sent back and forth. I am awaiting refund, but holding my breath. I don't believe a word they say.
Beware that full refund isn't what they say. They want to withhold $150.00 for doing absolutely nothing, but creating a nightmare. The $30.00 for slit payments will also be withheld.
They are sharks swimming in a tank waiting for unknowing and inexperienced authors to jump in on their great deals, and then be swallowed whole. Xlibris Publishing US is a nightmare you'll want to stay away from.
Reason of review: I gnoring request for full refund.

Xlibris Cons: Ignore requests for full refunds, Give you the run around, Too many sales pitch calls, Unprofessional tatics, Are untruthful in their sales pitch.
